Make a Paper Flower
Anybody can buy a flower and give it to their lover, but that does not show as much love as creating a paper flower. Everybody has made flowers from a piece of paper or a tissue in the kindergarten, so why would you not want to go back to your childhood and recover your creativity skills. To create a basic paper flower you need a pair of scissors, glue, and the colored paper. There are many variations of different paper flowers, as there are many variations of the colored paper. Therefore, you can create an absolutely unique paper flower that your lover will have had never seen before. I have added some videos of some nice ideas for you paper flowers. However, if you feel that these are too hard for you, or, if your lovers favorite flower is different, there are plenty more "how-to" videos on different kinds of flowers. Hopefully, you will be able to make one easily!
Create a Paper Heart
By saying created a paper heart, I do not mean that you should take a piece of paper and cut a heart out of it. NO! Create a heart with nice ornaments. You can cut out a big heart and, in the middle of it, you can write something meaningful, such as "I love you," or you can be more creative and write something nicer. If you do not like the whole idea of making a big heart, you can make many small hearts and put them together into the chain. You can create couple of heart chains and hang them all over the room. Moreover, it would be a nice decoration for a Valentine's Day dinner, if you will be eating at home. Add some candles, rose leaves, and you're good to go!

The Example of the Customized Valentine's Day Picture Frame
Create a Valentine's Day Photo Frame
Creating a personalized photo frame from scratch might be challenging, but there are other ways how to make a nice photo frame. What you will need at first is a glue gun. Once you have a glue gun ready, you will need to find a picture frame. Try getting a simplest picture frame possible - ideally, it should have no curves or anything, just plain frame. When you get the picture frame, you will need something to cover the original frame with. You could use any of material, but I would suggest using colored paper or plastic. Color paper would be the easiest way to go, but it might look cheap. If you decide, to use plastic might need something to cut it with, and scissors probably won do the job. What you could do is heat up a knife and cut the plastic with the heated-up knife. Additionally, you will need a pair of scissors, a pencil and a ruler.
Once you have all the basic tools and material ready, you can start thinking of how you will decorate you photo frame. You can make something from paper, such as paper hearts, or just cut out the word "LOVE" out of the paper. If you want, you can buy plastic heart or some Swarovski crystals. The decoration is entirely up to you, so let your creativity flow!
After having everything well-thought and planned-through in your head, you can start taking some action. Here are the steps of what you need to do:
- Take the photo frame you bought, and measure the inner and outer sides of the frame. Then take the piece of plastic, or paper, whichever you decide to cover the original frame, and with a pencil draw the inner and outer sides on the plastic, or paper. Make sure the measurements are identical. If you are not sure, you can leave cut a frame a little bit bigger, so that you could cut it off, if it covers more than needed. If you take too small frame, it might not look as good, as it would show off the original frame.
- Plug the glue gun in, and let it heat up, so you would be ready to start work! Take the original and the cover frames and put the original frame facing you. Then put the cover frame so that it would be facing the table. Apply the glue on the back side of the cover frame. Once you have applied the glue, gently put the cover frame onto the original frame. Make sure it matches perfectly. If it does, you can press it a little harder, so it would stick better. Let it stay for a couple of minutes.
- Now it's time to decorate your picture frame. I will leave this part entirely up to your imagination - you can do whatever you want. Use glue gun to stick the decorations onto the frame.
